Eviction Information & Resources

One of the duties of the Baltimore City Sheriff’s Office is to enforce court-ordered assistance to property owners. Evictions are an unfortunate but necessary part of that duty. The Office’s role in the eviction process is to make sure the process is legal, and that property is returned to the rightful owner. In essence, the Sheriff’s Office protects the rights of both the property owner and the tenant. An eviction is only legal if a Deputy Sheriff is present.
