BALTIMORE CITY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES TO PROVIDE SECURITY AT THE 2023 MLK DAY PARADE

BALTIMORE, MD (Friday, January 13, 2023) — 25 Deputies from the Baltimore City Sheriff's Office will be deployed along the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. parade route. The parade will take place on Monday, January 16, at 12 PM, along the traditional route of MLK Jr. Blvd / Eutaw PI, southbound to MLK Jr. Blvd / W Saratoga St.

“We’re glad that we can help our residents safely celebrate Dr. King’s legacy, and highlight our capacity to deploy as law enforcement,” said Baltimore City Sheriff Sam Cogen.

The estimated cost of providing staffing for the parade is $10,000 and will be paid for by the Sheriff’s Office's general operating expenses.
